A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday May 22, 2012 at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church Hubbard, with the Rev. Timothy H. O’Neill for Dr. Jane A. Williams age 52, who entered into rest Thursday afternoon at home with her loving family by her side.
Jane was born November 21, 1959 in Youngstown, Ohio a daughter of Edward and Susanna O’Neil Muldoon.
Jane was a 1977 graduate of Ursuline High School. She went on to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in 1981 and her Master’s degree in 1983 from Youngstown State University. Jane continued on to obtain her doctorate degree in higher education administration from the University of Akron in 1992.
Jane began working at Penn State University Shenango Campus October 1, 1986; she held many positions at Penn State Shenango Campus including Educational/ Vocational Director and Director of Community Outreach Programs. Jane also served as Advisor to the school of Nursing and director of Continuing Education program; as well as Registrar, and at the time of her death she was the Director of Student and Enrollment Services.
Prior to her employment at Penn State University she was the Director of Public Relations for the American Red Cross Mahoning Chapter.
Jane was also involved in numerous community organizations.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Donald J. “Fats” Williams whom she married April 17, 1998, her sister Mary Muldoon, and her pets Tia, Bailey, and Bridget. She also leaves her sisters-in-law Donna (Dave) Sandy and Deborah (Manuel) Mageros; her dear friends Karen O’Connor and Audean Patterson, many extended family members, as well as her Penn State Shenango family.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents.
There will be no calling hours.
Jane will be laid to rest at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Patrick’s School 225 North Main Street, Hubbard, Ohio 44425 or the donor’s favorite animal charity.
